American Red Cross Lifeguarding
Purpose of the course: participants learn to recognize and respond to emergencies in and near the water.
Prerequisites: 15 years of age, the ability to swim front crawl and breaststroke during a non-stop 300 yard swim and the ability to complete a timed swim in which you swim at the surface, locate and retrieve a submerged 10 lb. weight and return with it (kicking only) to the starting point. PADI Swim School Instructor Training (powered by Starfish Aquatics Institute)
Purpose of the course: participants learn how to teach swimming to all ages including how to meet special needs.
Prerequisites: 16 years of age.
